This week we loaded three shipping containers with bespoke steel formwork for a specialist bridge infrastructure project.

The engineered formwork system has been designed for the construction of submerged bridge pile caps and bridge piers. After trial assembly and operation at the factory with all hands on deck, disassembly and then after painting; the bespoke formwork was ready to ship to Spain.

At the site temporary cofferdams will retain and dewater the river, creating a safe working area for construction. Once the pile caps and bridge piers have been cast, the cofferdams will be removed and the formwork repositioned and the process is repeated for the other bridge piers.
