Dema Engineering expands its role on the UK’s HS2 project with Balfour Beatty VINCI (BBV)⠀⠀⠀⠀Following the successful delivery of bespoke dual-purpose bridge head formwork and temporary load platforms for the HS2 section crossing the M42/M6 near Water Orton (a project set to continue for the next 2 years), we are proud to announce a major new package.⠀⠀⠀⠀Dema has now been awarded the manufacture and supply of specialised cast in-situ formwork for 16 miles of horizontal viaducts on the High Speed Rail link.⠀⠀⠀⠀Our innovative solutions include:⠀⠀⠀⠀✦ Precision formwork for casting 7.5m-long concrete side walls on both tracks⠀⠀⠀⠀✦ A unique double-cast system that simultaneously forms the sidewall zones between parallel viaducts⠀⠀⠀⠀✦ Heavy-duty 3.5–5.5 tonne units with pincer-type lifting mechanisms, enabling safe release and sideways movement via a custom side-shift forklift operating directly on the viaduct deck. This allows continuous, high-accuracy sidewall casting across the entire 16-mile stretch — keeping quality, safety, and programme on track.⠀⠀⠀⠀Proud to be part of Britain’s high-speed future with Balfour Beatty VINCI!
